Bi-wiring and bi-amping

Yet more performance and precision

Loudspeakers like this one are produced with a double connection terminal. They can be operated like quite normal loudspeakers; one terminal then simply remains unoccupied. In addition, however, they also provide for two further operating modes, each with its own benefits:

1.Bi-wiring
Here, the signals for the bass as well as the mid-tone/treble ranges are fed from the hi-fi receiver to the loudspeaker via a separate cable. This further enhances signal purity and, therefore, the precision of the reproduction.

2.Bi-amping
Here, each loudspeaker is supplied with power not just by one but, rather, by two fully-fledged amplifier channels. The substantially increases the overall performance, resulting together with the advantages of bi-wiring in a particularly clean sound.
