The AD 130 BP subwoofer enclosure meets audiophile demands in the bass range. The AD 300 AF-Tech chassis, which is able to develop its full power in the sophisticated body of the AD 130 BP, means that the subwoofer is able to create a sound that is characterised by enormous power and pulse-fidelity.

AD 300 Series II – this is what the subwoofer chassis par excellence is called. Innovative airflow technology, powerful dual-magnet system and a Klippel-optimised, symmetrical magnetic field are just a few of the impressive features that this extremely powerful woofer has to offer.

High-end subwoofer with Airflow technology

All the innovative power that Magnat´s engineers were able to draw on was brought to bear in the AD series. The result is a high-end subwoofer series for highest demands. The series features a highly technological chassis, which may be perfectly used both individually and in the specially designed bandpass case.

High-performance sound through innovative technology

Magnat´s own Airflow technology has been employed for the extremely powerful subwoofer chassis in the AD 300 Series II. A special die-cast aluminium basket with aerodynamically shaped basket struts is responsible for producing the lowest possible air turbulence and therefore a compression-free throw. Precisely calculated cooling surfaces, which have already been incorporated into the basket, are responsible for perfectly removing the heat from the voice coil. It is only in this way that the rather powerful bass range becomes possible with such excellent purity.

Select components make the difference

With the intention of creating a perfect experience of sound, only select materials and components have been used for the subwoofers in the AD series. The appropriate drive is generated by a high-power double magnet system with chromed pole plate and a two inch high-performance voice coil for which only the extremely efficient and reliable TOTOKU wire from Japan was used. Magnat´s engineers chose a multi-layered pressed air-dried paper cone with 20% carbon-fibre content for the cone material – because it represents the perfect compromise between weight and rigidity.

Benefiting from a sophisticated design

The AD 130 BP´s case was developed with the help of lasers. Magnat´s developers were able to realise the optimum distribution of pressure for the individual chambers thanks to the highly precise measurements that the use of lasers allowed. The subwoofer has been designed as a bandpass for the best combination of precision and efficiency. A sloping baffle has been accommodated in the multi-braced MDF case to eliminate standing waves. The case possesses a two-fold aluminium horn attachment to reduce ventilation noises.

The outer details are also just right

Even the subwoofer chassis in the aluminium die-cast basket with diamond cut looks really great, but the subwoofer enclosure possesses its own unique style. The internal designer chambers with aluminium panel and mirror present the blue LED illumination at its best. The non-slip cover has been sophisticatedly embroidered with the Magnat logo in three colours.
